Confidentiality
What you say in therapy, your records, and even your attendance are confidential. Exceptions include:
- When you give written permission to release information
- When your records are subpoenaed for legal reasons
- When reporting is required or allowed by law (example: child abuse or neglect, extreme danger to self, elder abuse, danger to others)
A note about confidentiality and insurance; any third party payor (e.g., insurance, managed care, HMO, PPO) does have a right to review your records, thereby impacting your right to confidentiality. If you have further questions regarding using your insurance for mental health benefits, I will be happy to discuss it with you.
Fees
The fee for therapy is $125.00 per session (a session is 50 minutes). Fees are payable by cash or check at the beginning of the session.
Insurance
Always verify coverage with your insurance company as benefits are continuously changing. If I am a provider for your insurance company, I will process the billing. If I am not a provider, ask your insurance contact if they accept "out of network providers." I can provide you with a statement that you can submit for reimbursement. Please call for more information about insurance.
